Over the last few decades, the Upper West Side has been romanticized and immortalized in both movies and music. The fashionable tree-lined streets, upscale restaurants and trendy bars are second in allure and reputation only to the luxurious apartments, co-ops and townhouses associated with the area. Lincoln Center, which has become significantly more accessible after the $53 million renovations to the 72nd Street subway, is the largest performing arts complex in the world, and reinforces the area as a cultural center. As distinguished pre-war brownstones cast shadows along the western edge of Central Park and stunning townhouses border the Hudson, professionals and families alike continue to gravitate towards the fantastic properties with park and river views, which tend to be some of the most sought-after residences in Manhattan.
